New Delhi Reaffirms Support for Afghanistan’s Peace and Stability

In my opinion, the statement that New Delhi issued yesterday is a good signal for Afghanistan. New Delhi reaffirmed its support for Afghanistan’s peace and stability, saying that India stands with the people of Afghanistan.

I believe that if India truly wants to support peace, it should reopen its embassy in Kabul and start direct talks with the Islamic Emirate. Support through words alone is not enough.

As reported by BBC Pashto, India has invested heavily in Afghanistan over the past two decades — roads, hospitals, power projects, and even the parliament building. I hope these efforts continue because Afghans desperately need peace and stability.
