24th April 2026 — ‘International Day of Multilateralism and Diplomacy for Peace’ — In a State of Mockery?

The Strait of Hormuz become a chokepoint for the necessity and economy of a large part of the world. Attack on Iran, Israel and Gaza, Ukraine, all are in flames, the fire visible across the world while there are eternal infernos present globally, goes heedlessly.

Thus, on 24th April 2026, marking ‘International Day of Multilateralism and Diplomacy for Peace’ poses a question in mind that if multilateralism, diplomacy and peace are in a state of mockery?

simplified the functionality of multilateralism and diplomacy in establishing peace,

“ A form of cooperation between at least three States. It is based on founding principles of consultation, inclusion and solidarity, ensuring sustainable and effective cooperation by continuously guaranteeing all actors the same rights and obligations. Indeed, multilateralism is both a method of cooperation and a form of organization of the international system.”

Before throwing blame on others, individual countries need self-actualization. For instance, in India, people are fiercely intolerant based on religion, region, language, etc. While the constitution gives right to any Indian citizen can live anywhere, atrocities come from the illiterate masses, police and some politicians.

In the recent history, two Indian states Maharashtra and Karnataka are infamous for their language and regional politics, the flame of hatred are there in many other states too.

On the face of these intolerant mindset, Ritesh Agarwal, the owner of global hospitality platform OYO, is a resident of the state of Orissa, but his surname comes from another state. He is the best example of multilateralism. The Indian province Orissa is proud of Ritesh Agarwal and he is esteemed of himself and Orissa too.

Why can’t other states learn from such examples?

There is an advanced virtual language translation device manufactured in China. In his travel vlog Kaash Chaudhary gave a demonstration of the device which translates both Marathi and Karnataka languages immediately with hundreds of other languages.

The device is the best example of multilateralism and diplomacy to solve the language problem and establish peace.

But the question arises, those who are born to spread hatred and create chaos, mayhem and havoc, can be tamed with diplomacy and peace?

The ‘International Day of Multilateralism and Diplomacy for Peace’ is to accept the truth and governments correct their internal pandemonium, then can find multilateral partners to establish peace through diplomacy and dialogue globally.
