‘Something inside Me has been Quietly Rotting’

As children something we all have in common was ambition, we all once in our life wanted to become an Astronaut like Neil Armstrong and Kalpana Chawla or wanted to become those marvel heroes we idolized.

But as we all got older we just think about landing an internship, even if we think about our childhood dreams we just wonder what life would be if we listened to our heart.

I think that something has died in all of us either it be our childhood or our dreams, we have all lost something along the way. The main ability we lost was our different skills let it be either drawing, creativity, or even our old personality.

If I talk about myself, I noticed that I lost the skill of art and creativity. I believe this is the most regret I have. I let my ambition and dreams to be something different , rot in the corner and decided to become a carbon copy of every other person.

We have evolved in many aspects in the past decade but we have just became same in almost everything let it be personality, looks or style. Aren’t we just copying the person infant of us.

I really don’t understand why in today’s world uniqueness and flavor is not appreciated anymore. They just want us to be having the same skill and be almost identical.

I believe we have forgotten that all of us are different in every factor and that’s what makes us humans. It’s okay to have a unique style that just means you refuse to work by the ‘alleged rules of the world’.

Are we now afraid to be ourselves ?
