Every Soul Is a Colour on My Canvas

Every day, I wake up wondering if something meaningful will happen. It could be a new experience, a thoughtful conversation, or a small moment that makes the day memorable. That curiosity is one reason I enjoy life so much.

I have always loved meeting new people. I enjoy talking to them, treating them with kindness, and learning from their experiences. Not everyone is meant to remain in my life, and that is perfectly fine. Some people cross our paths briefly, while others stay long enough to leave a lasting mark.

I admire people who share kindness without expecting anything in return. Sometimes it is the person who greets you with a genuine smile. Sometimes it is the quiet observer who notices your efforts and appreciates them with a simple compliment. Those small gestures often mean more than grand words, and they remind me that goodness still exists in the world.

“Some arrivals are memories, some departures are wisdom.”

LLife is not made of happiness alone. It comes with hardships, struggles, disappointments, physical exhaustion, and moments when everything feels uncertain. Yet, between those difficult days, there are moments of joy that make every challenge worthwhile. I am grateful to everyone who has appreciated me for simply being myself. Every person who has entered my life has left behind something valuable.

Some encouraged me to stay positive and keep moving forward. Some walked beside me for years, while others quietly left without saying goodbye. There were friends with whom I spent countless hours talking, laughing, sharing everyday problems, and making memories that still bring a smile to my face. At the time, those moments felt ordinary. Looking back, they became some of the most meaningful parts of my life.

When I think about the people I have met, I imagine my memories as a book. Some people became chapter titles. Others are highlighted sentences that I return to whenever I need hope. A few are only brief paragraphs, yet they changed the direction of the entire story. Time may fade faces and voices, but it rarely erases the influence someone has had on our lives.

Many people believe that only those who bring us happiness deserve our gratitude. I see things differently.

Even the people who hurt us can become an important part of our growth.

The difficult people in my life left me with questions I never expected to answer. They challenged my patience, my beliefs, and sometimes even my confidence. Finding those answers on my own helped me understand myself better than any advice ever could. Looking back, I realise that some of my greatest moments of growth came from the experiences I once wished had never happened.

Whenever I see a young child learning to swim, I am reminded that no one is born knowing how to survive in water. It takes courage to step in, patience to keep trying, and determination to continue after every mistake. In many ways, life is no different. We only discover our strength after facing the waves we once feared.

I am an artist by profession, and perhaps that is why I see life through colours.

With only the primary colours, I can create countless shades. Every shade has its own character, and each one adds something unique to the painting. Without every colour, the artwork would never feel complete.

People are much the same.

Some are like the green of trees, representing growth and stability. Some are the blue of the sky, bringing peace and calm. Others are like mountains, teaching strength, or like rain, reminding us that even storms have a purpose. Some people are as comforting as a warm home, while others are like strangers we meet for only a moment but never forget. Some are like the morning breeze that refreshes the soul, and others are as deep and mysterious as the ocean.

Every person I have met has added a different colour to the canvas of my life. Some colours remain bright, while others slowly fade with time. Even so, I would never remove any of them, because every shade has helped shape the person I am today.

As I continue my journey, I have realised that life is not only about reaching a destination. It is about the people we meet, the memories we create, the challenges we overcome, and the pieces of ourselves we discover along the way. Every encounter leaves its own mark, and together those moments become the masterpiece we call life.
