Mysterious Old Barns

Most of us love an old mystery. If barns could talk, we’d want to listen!

Yes, it is still snowing where I live in Michigan, USA.

Sitting in the swirling snow, one wonders what this barn looks like on a clear day. That will remain a mystery….since I don’t know where it was when I discovered it.

In the snow, some barns stand out beautifully. I always take note of the mature trees growing near them and if it a working barn. This one looks like it has it all, even a windmill.

It’s a mystery as we wonder what animals live there and what crops are grown.

I can even see some smoke curling out a chimney on this one.

It’s always fun to see silos nearby as we wonder what they contain.

In the winter, when the trees are bare, it can be easier to see barns which are usually hiding behind the trees.

The above barn was owned by my friends, Bill and Mary. They have gone from this world but their barn remains.

If only barns could talk!

Next time, I will try to get a close-up photo of the barn but this time I wanted to reveal the beauty that surrounds so many barns and their farms.
