Are we really living life or just surviving? We might be surviving if we are living for the validation and approval of worldly people. But if we are truly living, then we must love ourselves enough to protect ourselves from those desires that can create distance between us and Allah.
Maturity is when you realize that you can only truly love yourself when Allah loves you. Because we cannot remain on the right path unless Allah wills it for us.
