The Boston Red Sox have now won 14 straight games. Can you believe it? This is the second longest winning streak in the history of the franchise.

As exciting as that is, what’s really caught my attention isn’t what’s been happening on the field. It’s what’s been happening in the stands. If you’ve been following along, you’ve probably seen it. Fans taking off their shirts and waving them in celebration after another Red Sox victory.

Yet the Red Sox didn’t initiate this trend. They couldn’t have manufactured that kind of passion on their own. They had to earn it. And as a marketer, I absolutely love that.

It’s organic. It’s authentic. It’s contagious. It’s what every brand and business should want to see among their audience.

It’s when your business becomes something bigger than its products and services.

It’s when your customers and prospects are cheering fanatically for you.

It’s a marketing lesson for all of us thanks to this historic Red Sox winning streak.

It’s tarps off.
