β¨β¨ β¨β¨How our village lit up with devotion and unity for Buddhaβs sacred dayβ¨β¨β¨
β¨β¨βVesak is one of the most beautifully celebrated festivals by Buddhists, marking the three sacred events in Lord Buddhaβs life. This year, Vesak in my village was something unforgettable.β¨β¨β
β¨β¨βPeople of all ages came together. Children and elders made colorful Vesak lanterns with their own hands. The young people of the village worked as a team, creating beautiful thoranas based on meaningful themes. Seeing everyone work together made my heart so full.β¨β¨β
β¨β¨βWhen night fell, our village turned into a different world. Every house and the temple was decorated with glowing lanterns. The villagers built beautiful light fences along the roadside. When they were lit at night, it felt like stars had fallen down to earth. The whole ground was adorned with the light of lamps.β¨β¨β
β¨β¨βThat wasnβt all. Dansals were held in different places, and the simple word βCome, eatβ carried so much love. On the Poya day, people dressed in white took sil and gathered together. That unity, that compassion - thatβs the real beauty of Vesak.β¨β¨β
β¨β¨βI will never forget how everyone in my village celebrated Vesak in such a beautiful and heartfelt way. These memories will stay with us for years to come.β¨β¨β
