The Two People I Carry Inside Me

Hi everyone. It’s genuinely nice to know that some of you stop here, even for a moment, just to learn a little about who’s behind these words.🙃 I thought it might be good to build a little more connection before sharing more about myself — so here we are.
My real name is Saddiqa😌.I’m a first-year computer science student.🖥️
I was born in Saudi Arabia🇸🇦 in 2008, and I spent my entire childhood there. I miss it more than words can really capture — those years still feel like the only truly beautiful, truly real chapter of my life.✨ When I was eight, my family moved to Pakistan, because that’s where we originally belong.
Two Personalities, One Person

I have two sides to me —
I can be a “Ninja”,quiet, focused, careful, watching everything before I act.
And I can also be a “Baddie,” bold, a little fierce, unapologetically myself. I’m not saying this to show off or to seem interesting. I’m just being honest about who I am — because honestly, most days I feel like a lost bird, flying around, wandering, trying to figure out where I actually belong. I also deal with a fear of revealing my face, which is why I keep it covered with a mask 😉 — I prefer staying a little mysterious.😷
My Writing Doesn’t Have Funny Stories
If you’ve noticed that I don’t write funny or lighthearted pieces that all my articles lean toward health, science, and the messiness of being human — there’s a simple reason for that. I don’t really have funny stories to tell. What I have are life lessons. Things that happened to me, things I’ve sat with, things I’ve learned the hard way.
My happiest memories all belong to my childhood. Those eight years in Saudi Arabia were the best part of my life, and honestly, nothing since has quite matched that feeling. As we grow up, real happiness seems to fade into the background. It gets replaced by responsibilities studies, family, work and somewhere in all of that, the simple joy you had as a child quietly disappears.
So everything I write comes from that place. Some of it is informative, some of it is reflective but none of it is exaggerated, false, or misleading. I write what I genuinely feel and what I’ve genuinely lived.
What I Actually Want From My Writing
On Medium, I don't just want people to scroll, view, clap, and move on. I want something more meaningful than that.
I want the life lessons I’ve gone through to actually reach people to be read with an open heart, with honesty, and ideally, to be understood and applied. Not just consumed and forgotten. I’d rather have fewer readers who genuinely take something away from my words than thousands who just pass by without absorbing anything.
I’m also working toward earning through my writing because I want to build something of my own, something that doesn’t depend on anyone else. So for now, as long as I have something meaningful to say, I’ll keep writing. And if there ever comes a time when I don’t, I’ll figure out what comes next then. One step at a time.
What I Love, And What I Dream Of
I’m just a simple, ordinary person — nothing special, really, just like everyone else. But I do have a deep love for poetry🌿, both in Urdu and English. I’m drawn to verses that are profound, thought-provoking, and the kind that leave you thinking long after you’ve read them.
I love nature🏞️ deeply. I haven’t had the chance to travel and see the world yet, but it’s a dream I hold onto tightly. Someday, when circumstances, timing, and fate align the way they’re supposed to, I want to make that dream real.
I also have a real appreciation for small efforts no matter how small they are, no matter who they come from. A little kindness, a little gesture, a little bit of someone’s time given freely these things matter to me more than people probably realize.
And honestly, most of the time, it's just me. On my own, figuring things out, writing my way through it.
That’s me. Not perfect, not always happy, but real🌻
