Hidden Trap of desires on spritual journey-

Our thoughts shape our entire life. We are what we think-Buddha

E*ach moment, the quality of our thoughts creates the quality of our existence.

Our inner world reflects itself in our outer life — silently, constantly, without fail.*

Everyone’s life is made from their own consciousness. That’s why every person’s journey, every destiny, and every experience is different. Most of us actully not living the life

our thoughts have silently built for us. We live through our mind and often through others’ minds. We scroll endlessly, consume what society feeds us, and unconsciously try to apply it to our own life. What we see, hear, and compare becomes our new reality.

We begin to live borrowed thoughts. This is not living. This is surviving in the illusion of the mind. We stop listening to our inner voice — the voice of our true self.

Sprituality and our thoughts

Spirituality doesn’t mean running away from life or responsibilities. It simply means rising above the restless mind and its endless desires. It means watching every thought with awareness — not getting lost in it.

In spirituality, awareness is everything. When we start observing our thoughts and desires, we begin to see how they control our life. Desires — no matter how small — are the cause of our bondage. They are the reason we fall again and again into the endless cycle of birth and death.

The moment a desire arises, peace disappears. When there are no desires, only then we taste true freedom.

sprituality and bondage of desire .

A Story from The book Tripura Rahasya:

I once read a beautiful and deeply symbolic story in Tripura Rahasya, shared by Swami Anubhavananda.

There was once a great devotee of the Lord. He spent years in meditation, penance, and deep devotion. Finally, one day, Lord appeared before him and said, “My child, I am pleased with your devotion. Ask for any boon you desire.”

The devotee, filled with compassion, said, “Lord, bless me so that every drop of my blood can heal those suffering from cancer. May my blood become medicine for them.”

The Lord smiled and blessed him.

The next day, a men came to him, weeping. “Swami, I have cancer,” she said. The devotee smiled gently and said, “Do not worry. I have the power to heal you.” He made a small cut on his finger, took one drop of blood, and gave it to her. Within a short time, she healed completely healed.

The miracle spread everywhere. Soon, hundreds — then thousands — of people lined up at his door. All of them came seeking his healing.

The devotee looked at the long line and became afraid. He thought, If I give all my blood to everyone, I may lose my own life. In that moment, he realized — even his noble wish to help others had become a desire.

He wanted to do good, yet he was still bound by attachment — the illusion that he was the doer. Even his compassion carried a subtle sense of “I” and “mine.”

but his desire made him fall again into illusion.

The Hidden Trap of Good Desires

On the spiritual path, when our consciousness begins to rise, new desires can appear — desires that look pure, selfless, and noble. We may start to think, “I want to help everyone.” “I want to do good for society.” “I want my life to be useful for others.”

These are beautiful thoughts — but still, they are desires. They come from the mind, not from pure awareness.

The mind cleverly hides behind good intentions. And when we identify with these desires, we once again fall into the same trap — the illusion of doing.

True spirituality is not about what we do, but” how we do it. We must perform every action — every act of kindness, duty, and service — with full love, but without attachment to results. We should offer everything to the Divine, with a heart free of expectations.

W*hen we live this way, our actions no longer bind us.

They become worship. They become meditation*.

Living in the Present

To live spiritually is to live mindfully aware of each thought, each feeling, each desire. The more aware we become, the lighter we feel. Slowly, desires begin to dissolve, and a deep peace arises within.

Do everything — love, serve, work, help — but never let your mind own it. Offer all to God and simply live in the present moment.

That is where real freedom lies — not in running away from the world, but in living fully, without the weight of desire.
