SALVATION AND ETERNAL LIFE. THE HEAVENLY KINGDOM OF GOD

Reflection. The good news of God’s Heavenly Kingdom — SALVATION and eternal life with God.

Scripture Readings:

“Jesus went throughout Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, proclaiming the good news of the Kingdom, and healing every disease and sickness among the people.” (Matthew 4:3, NIV)

Jesus Announces the Good News

“After John was put in prison, Jesus went into Galilee, proclaiming the good news of God.” (Mark 1:14, NIV)

I urge you to read all four Holy Gospels of the Lord Jesus Christ. These holy writings speak of Jesus and His mission. The Gospel preached by the Lord Jesus. It is the ‘good news’ regarding the life, death, resurrection, and teachings of Jesus Christ. It is the core message of the New Testament and is the foundation of Christianity.

The Gospel preached by Jesus, His beloved disciples and then down through millennia. Teaches that it is only through Jesus. That one gains access to the Father. “Jesus said to him, “I AM the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.” (John 14:6, ESV) In this, you are reconciled to the Father. From the moment you accept Jesus Christ as your personal Saviour, Lord and God. From the moment you believe the Gospel that Jesus preached. From the moment you believed the ‘good news’ about the repentance of sins. From the moment you accepted Jesus’ gift to humanity, salvation. You enter the Kingdom of God.

You read the Holy Gospels. Seeking with all your heart to enter the Heavenly Kingdom of God. Surrendering your heart, your life and your love to Almighty God. Submitting your decisions, your plans, your family and all control to Almighty God. Promising always to obey Almighty God’s holy law and His holy decrees. When you fail. To honestly pray for forgiveness. To glorify Almighty God. In all your actions and words.

Why did God choose the word Gospel?

“When Jesus Christ came preaching the Gospel of the Kingdom of God, He built on the foundation already planned by God the Father from the beginning and revealed by the earlier prophets. As the Messenger of the Kingdom, He revealed vital truths that were not understood from the Old Testament prophecies.” (C. Thomas)

The ‘good news’ Jesus heralds is life-changing for all humanity. The Gospel Jesus preaches is essential to everyone. “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” (Romans 3:23, NIV) Saint Paul in this verse, tells that all have sinned and need God’s forgiveness. The Gospel, the ‘good news’ of salvation. It was designed by God for all humanity. The forgiveness of God through Jesus His beloved Son. Grants to one and to all humanity — SALVATION.

The salvation brought by Jesus the Lord is the essence behind all Christendom.

Almighty God offered salvation to all mankind. As a true child of God. It is your duty to preach along with Saint Paul, “I glory in the Gospel, I’m proud of the Gospel.” If any friends, family or neighbours ever ask. You hold your head high and speak. You are proud to be a follower, a disciple of Jesus your Lord, your Saviour, your God, your King. You are so, very proud to preach the ‘good news’ of the Heavenly Kingdom of God. “For I am not ashamed of the Gospel, because it is the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes: First to the Jew, then to the Gentile. For in the Gospel the righteousness of God is revealed — a righteousness that is by faith from first to last just as it is written: “The righteous will live by faith.” (Romans 1:16–17, NIV)

You proudly speak along with Saint Paul. You and I are “eager to preach the Gospel for everyone who believes.”

Deep within your heart, believe the Gospel of Jesus. It is the power of Almighty God for the forgiveness of sins. “As far as the east is from the west, so far has He removed our transgressions from us.” (Psalm 103:12, NIV) The Gospel of Jesus. It is breaking of chains. From the darkness of sins. To the light of God’s love. As a true child of God. You must believe in the Gospel of Jesus and proclaim it boldly. So, what is the main message behind Jesus’ ‘good news?’

The love and the power Almighty God offers a precious blessing to all mankind. Through His beloved Son, Jesus Christ. Through the pure and perfect Lamb of God, Jesus Christ. “The next day John saw Jesus coming toward him and said, “Look, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world!” (John 1:29, NIV) Once a person chooses to accept Jesus as their personal Saviour, Lord and God. They are reconciled with the Heavenly Father. This to all humanity is the precious gift of salvation.

You remember the moment which changed your life forever. The moment God touched your heart and your soul. You prayed to the Father. You accepted Jesus as your personal Lord and Saviour. How life indeed change for you. No, nothing on the outside dramatically changed for you. But forever more you were changed. No longer did you live for yourself. You lived for God in His service.

For me. Even though the moment I accepted Jesus as my Saviour, my Lord and my God. It was as a young teenager. Almost sixty years ago now. I can picture it. As if it were yesterday. Let me describe how it was for me. A feeling of no longer being alone. A deep sense of belonging. A blessed sense of calming peace. These feelings to me have never left. I honestly say they grow stronger each and every day. I was only a young teenager when the Lord Jesus I accepted. Now a 75 year little old lady am I.

Once you accepted Jesus as your Lord and your God. You are so very proud to preach His Gospel. Your very life, it is used as a silent proclamation. Your gentle ways. They are a reflection of Jesus. As you care for and tend to the needs of others. You find ways to preach the ‘good news’ of the repentance of sins. “For by grace, you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast.” (Ephesians 2:8–9, ESV)

God’s salvation is only to be found through His beloved Son, Jesus.

Scripture Readings:

“And there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under Heaven given among men by which we must be saved.” (Acts 4:12, ESV)

“For God so loved the world, that He gave His only Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life.” (John 3:16, ESV)

“Salvation by grace through faith is not a difficult thing, in that it’s not a formula to follow but rather a miracle to believe and receive. Salvation is God’s righteousness at work in us when we say yes to His plan. Saying yes is how we demonstrate faith. We get saved by grace through faith, but we also live by grace through faith.” (Danielle Berneck)

Almighty God’s miracle. The Heavenly Father’s gift of love. God’s salvation is so much more than, being washed clean from sin. Far more than, being reconciled with the Almighty One. As truly remarkable and undeserved as this reconciliation is. Salvation. It is a lifestyle. God’s salvation. It is an amazing blessing for which you praise God for always.

Salvation. It is a life of dedication to Jesus your Lord. The Heavenly Father who is the One who sacrificed, His only begotten Son. God sent to you His beloved Son, as the Lamb of God. You live a life of complete and humble obedience to Almighty God and His Holy Law.

Conclusion. The Good News of God’s Heavenly Kingdom — SALVATION. God’s salvation is only to be found through His beloved Son, Jesus.

“What Am I” That You Would Love Me So A worship reflection on the greatness of God and the mercy that reaches for us. You hung the stars. You hold all things. Yet You came down. This song was written from the question found throughout Scripture: How can the Holy One, Creator of Heaven and Earth, know us, seek us, carry us, and call us His own? “I am a vapor… yet You remember me.” May this worship lead you to wonder, gratitude, and awe at the love of Christ.” (Be Still Studios)
