“Sing to the Lord a new song”

Hubs recently got me a new devotional book:
“Nine Days with Francis of Assisi (Magnificat)”
Today I read the very first day’s reading:

The first day is titled:
“Desiring True Joy”
After reading the first chapter of this small “Nine day devotional” book, I couldn’t seem to get an old memory of a friend of mine out of my thoughts.
And that’s because this friend had sung a song about “CHOOSING JOY”.
She and I sometimes sang together on the “music ministry” team for the “Teen Moms” program at a local church.
My friend’s name was Luvenia, and she had the sweetest voice ever.
It was always a pleasure singing with her on the team.
The song that I am sharing (down below) is something that many people can relate to as we all seem to need more JOY!
