🏆 Major Winners & Firsts

Teyana Taylor was the undeniable star of the night. She took home four awards, including the first-ever Icon of the Year Award, the Fashion Vanguard Award, Video Director of the Year, and Best Actress . Janet Jackson surprised Taylor to present her with the Icon Award, reducing her to tears .

Cardi B won Best Female Hip Hop Artist. She was the night’s leading nominee with six nods and delivered a fiery performance of songs from her album Am I the Drama? .

🎤 Emotional Tributes

The evening featured two moving tributes. Lauryn Hill received the Living Legend Icon Award, honored by a star-studded performance featuring Doechii, SZA, Nas, Queen Latifah, and Common . Hill’s own children also joined the tribute .
