Normalize Being Spiritual

1 Corinthians 12:1 — Now concerning spiritual gifts, brethren, I would not have you ignorant.

Ignorance is something you can't afford, especially when it comes to the things of the Spirit. Paul said clearly that he would not have the church be ignorant concerning spiritual things. That means it is possible to be a believer and still be unaware of what you have, and that is not a safe place to live from.

It is not good for you, as a believer, to live unaware of your spiritual abilities in God. Some believers treat the supernatural as an option, something extra, something for “some people.” So there’s hesitation, excuses, avoidance...

But anything in your life that makes you live apart from what God has already placed inside you is a problem.

Life is spiritual. The natural is good, but it has limits. It fails. Systems fail. Strength fails. Logic even fails. But the power of God does not and can not fail. Paul describes this power as exceedingly above, beyond target, limitless, dynamic in its workings, mighty (Ephesians 1:19–20).

God did not design you to move through life looking helpless. You are not without help. You are not trying to survive life with only natural capacity. But ignorance, excuses, will make it look that way.

Life will not slow down or pity you because you don’t know. Situations will not adjust themselves because you are unaware. That is why you can not afford to stay ignorant. You can not afford to make excuses for not engaging with the supernatural.

Fill your mind with God’s word — the possibilities you have in him. Practice the things of the Spirit more and more. Grow in understanding. Be conscious of what is yours in Christ because this is not reserved for a few people.

Every believer has access. So live like it. Walk in power daily. Don’t shrink back. Don’t act like it’s strange. Don’t treat it like it’s optional.

You are full of the Spirit of God. Normalize being spiritual.
