Dos and Don’ts

All these very many things I should or should not do So as not to worry me As not to worry you

I know if I fall off the cart That I will come to grief For on is good and off is bad So runs this firm belief

For good is good and bad is bad With nothing in-between It’s either “either” or it’s “or” From all that I have seen

Perhaps I have not seen enough A whisper from within Perhaps it’s neither good nor bad Neither pure nor sin

At that I cannot help but laugh and shiver from relief I stretch my wings into the air to soar beyond belief
