The Queen of Control

Every day, even before the official break began, Samina gathered her small group near her desk. She talked loudly, laughed often, and made sure everyone noticed that she was the most sincere and admired in the department.

Her desk drawers were filled with personal things like makeup, shoes, and snacks, all neatly arranged. During break time, she went outside early and even used her reliever’s break time, saying confidently, “You can go after me; I allow it,” as if she were the boss herself.

The real boss always supported her, saying, “She’s senior and perfect. She manages everything so well.”

And Samina did manage, but in her own way. Whenever someone in the team raised a point or questioned her behavior, she silently turned them into an enemy. Through whispers and small actions, she made them feel isolated until they learned it was easier to stay quiet than to challenge her.

Yet, when anyone asked how she felt at work, Samina smiled and said calmly, “I don’t have any problem here because I manage and tackle all things.”

She prayed five times a day, kept every fast, and appeared disciplined, the image of a perfect employee. Management believed she was sincere. Only her teammates knew how cleverly she used kindness as control.

Moral: Some people don’t lead with honesty; they lead by making others feel smaller while pretending it’s sincerity.
