Recent Features of Bilingual Golpo Series

I’m deeply honoured that my advocacy for Multilingual literature and cultural inclusion has been featured by some wonderful organisations both locally and internationally over the last few months.

1. British Council

My creative and professional work was featured at the UK-India Creative Connections Exhibition 2026 at The British Council Gallery New Delhi from July to Aug 2026. The feature highlights my dual role as a public sector interaction designer and a multilingual children’s author. It explores the Bilingual Golpo Series, my collection of dual-language (Bengali-English) books blending traditional intergenerational tales with modern themes of unity, kindness, and global belonging, preserving heritage dialects while promoting empathy and inclusion for young readers across borders.

2. Milton Keynes City Council (EMA Network Showcase)

My Bilingual Golpo Series was featured by the Ethnic Minority Achievement (EMA) Network at Milton Keynes City Council. Displayed at the EMA Resource Centre as part of their initiative celebrating multilingualism across MK schools, my books are being highlighted as valuable educational resources to support EAL (English as an Additional Language) pedagogy, cultural inclusion, and heritage language preservation throughout the local school network.

3. University of the Arts London (UAL)

As a 2023 MA User Experience Design graduate from the London College of Communication (LCC), I was featured in a special alumni interview on UAL Alumni Stories. In the story, I reflect on my transition from UX design to writing dual-language children’s books, drawing a direct link between user accessibility and inclusive storytelling.

4. Community Action MK

I was spotlighted by Community Action MK in the Raising Our Voices series. The feature highlighted my efforts as a Wolverton-based author using heritage language preservation to build a sense of safety, welcome, and belonging in Milton Keynes. Although I am not a refugee myself, the article resonated with the shared human experience of living between cultures, navigating identity, and helping children feel rooted and proud of their heritage.

I am so excited and humbled by what’s coming up this autumn right here in Milton Keynes:

1. MK Lit Fest 2026: Raising Voices Project

I’m thrilled to share that two of my brand-new children’s stories have been selected for the prestigious Raising Voices Project by the MK Lit Fest! This project celebrates different narratives, diverse lived experiences, and original local writing across our region. Having my work chosen alongside such inspiring local voices is a deeply meaningful milestone in my journey as an author.

2. MK Indie Book Fair 2026

I would love to meet you in person! I will be showcasing my full collection of dual-language books at Middleton Hall, Centre:MK, on Saturday, 26th September 2026. 3. EMA Resource Centre Open Day

I am delighted to be joining the Milton Keynes Ethnic Minority Achievement (EMA) team for their Open Day on Friday, 16th October 2026 (2:30 PM till 4:30 PM). I will be introducing myself and my books to local educators, school representatives, and community leaders to discuss bringing multilingual storytelling directly into local classrooms.

Connect & Collaborate

I truly believe that inclusive storytelling is a team effort. My greatest reward is knowing a story helped even one child feel seen or connected, and I love taking these narratives off the page through visits and events.

I am expanding my work to primary schools, public libraries, and community hubs for:

• Interactive dual-language storytelling sessions
• Creative workshops on cultural heritage and creative writing
• Discussions on representation and diversity in early years reading
