We are inspired by heroes and their adventures, the app that I’m building is inspired by Preston Lim who married chicken rice and tech, who showed me it’s ok to do things for fun.
Ever come across a kueh, perhaps you had it in your childhood, but you’ve forgot what’s it called? So you can’t order it?
Kueh aka Kuih or 粿 is a bite-sized snack/dessert found in Southeast Asia, and China. Kueh has a significant meaning to me as I was growing up as a child. Kueh is usually served as offerings to the Gods, and after, me. With Singapore as a multicultural backdrop, we get exposed to loads of different types of kueh; kuehs which I don’t even have names for. I do know however, to eat.

I mean who doesn’t eat kueh right? Right?
But I was ashamed that I don’t know the names of the kuehs I eat, more importantly I was concerned that this heritage and rightfully, I believe kuehs are an important element to Singapore’s hawker culture and that’s why I am building the app.
