After Verbal Offer to Welcome Goodies: My Deloitte Journey So Far

In this blog, I’ll take you through what happened after the selection — from receiving the survey forms, important emails, Deloitte welcome goodies, and all the waiting phases that came in between.

🟢 The Journey Begins After the Verbal Offer

After receiving the verbal offer on March 12th, 2026, from Deloitte, it felt like the biggest milestone was already achieved.

For a moment, I thought — “That’s it, I got the job.”

But in reality, that was just the beginning of a new phase — a phase filled with emails, updates, documentation, and most importantly… patience.

This stage is something many candidates don’t talk about much.

Between the verbal offer and the joining letter, there are multiple steps involved — and each one plays an important role in the overall onboarding process.

Let me walk you through exactly what happened next in my journey.

📩 Mail 1: The “Next Steps & Updates” Session

On April 1st, 2026, I received my first update after the verbal offer — an invitation to attend a session titled “Next Steps & Updates.”

This session was conducted online and was specifically for candidates who had cleared the assessment and interview rounds.

During the session, they shared detailed information about the role, onboarding, and what to expect next in the process.

They explained that the opportunity offered a compensation package of around 4 LPA, along with an initial probation period of one year.

The work model follows a hybrid setup, where employees are expected to work from the office for 2–3 days a week, while the remaining days can be work from home.

Coming to the onboarding timeline, they mentioned that the expected joining period would be around June or July, and candidates could expect to receive their offer letters approximately 8 weeks before onboarding.

Regarding the job location, candidates would be assigned either Hyderabad or Bangalore, based on business requirements. However, there is flexibility to request a location change after successfully completing the probation period.

They also explained the list of documents required for onboarding, which included:

• Aadhaar card (with full Date of Birth in DD/MM/YYYY format)
• PAN card (with father’s name)
• Passport
• Semester-wise transcripts
• Provisional certificate
• Original Degree Certificate (if available)

📄 Mail 2: Submission of Course Completion Details

On April 2nd, 2026, just a day after the session, I received another email from Deloitte requesting details about my course completion.

This email was mainly focused on collecting academic timelines required for planning the onboarding process.

I was asked to fill out a survey that included the following details:

• Full Name (as per Aadhaar Card)
• NLA Registered Email Address
• Alternate Email Address
• Mobile Number
• Current College Name
• Final Semester Exam End Date (if applicable)
• Status of Exam Date (Tentative / Confirmed)
• Final Semester Viva End Date (if applicable)
• Status of Viva Date (Tentative / Confirmed)
• Final Semester Result Announcement Date (tentative if exact date not available)
• Final Marksheet / Provisional Degree Issue Date

These details help Deloitte understand when candidates will officially complete their degree and accordingly plan onboarding batches.

There was also a clear deadline mentioned in the email, so I made sure to fill in all the details carefully and submit the form on time.

📜 Mail 3: Letter of Intent (LOI)

On April 15th, 2026, at around 9:55 PM, I received one of the most important emails in my entire journey — the Letter of Intent (LOI) from Deloitte.

The email officially confirmed that Deloitte intends to hire me and welcomed me to the organization.

One important instruction in the email was to accept or decline the offer through a provided link.

There was also a clear deadline mentioned:

👉 5 PM, 17th April 2026

It was clearly stated that if I didn’t respond within this time, the offer would automatically lapse.

So without taking any risk, I accepted the offer as soon as possible.

Acceptance Process

After clicking the link, I was redirected to a form where I had to confirm my acceptance.

The form included basic details such as:

• First & Middle Name (as per Aadhaar)
• Last Name (as per Aadhaar)
• NLA Registered Email Address
• Mobile Number

There was also a confirmation question:

“Do you accept the offer from Deloitte?”

I selected “Accept” and proceeded further.

That small click felt like a big step in my journey.

There was also a section related to skills and certifications, which asked:

“Do you have any technology skill/certification?”

I selected “Yes”, and provided the following details:

• Certified Ethical Hacker (CEHv13)
• Skilled in Python
• Familiar with cybersecurity tools such as Nmap, Burp Suite, and Wireshark
• Knowledge of Penetration Testing and Network Security

This section gave me an opportunity to highlight my technical background and the skills I had developed throughout my journey.

📦 Mail 4: Goodies Survey

On May 5th, 2026, I received a survey mail from Deloitte asking me to provide my address for delivering onboarding goodies.

The form had to be completed before 2 PM on 6th May 2026, and the goodies would be sent to the address mentioned in the survey.

📦 Goodies Dispatch Update

On May 23rd, 2026, I received a DTDC dispatch message confirming that the goodies package had been dispatched to the address I had provided in the survey form.

After receiving the message, I opened the official DTDC tracking website and checked the shipment status. It showed that the package was in transit, indicating that the goodies had been shipped and were on the way.

But at that time, the expected delivery date wasn’t visible yet.

The next day (Sunday), curiosity won again 😅 and I opened the tracking page once more.

This time, I finally saw the expected delivery date:

👉 28th May, 2026

And honestly… I became really happy because it was Bakrid on that day.

For a moment, I even thought:

“God is sending me a gift” 🫠✨

From that point, I kept opening the tracking page again and again to see where the package had reached.

📦 The Day My Deloitte Parcel Arrived

Then came Monday morning.

When I checked the tracking page, I saw that the package had already reached Vijayawada, which is around 60 KM away from my home.

That made my excitement increase even more because I started thinking:

“Maybe I’ll get it earlier than 28th May…” 👀

I then continued with my regular household work and didn’t think much about it.

But after around 2 hours, at approximately 1:20 PM, someone rang our doorbell.

I was busy doing my work, so I didn’t go to open the door.

My mom went instead.

Then suddenly, in a louder voice, she said:

“The parcel is too big compared to our usual parcels!”

The moment I heard that sentence…

I instantly understood 🥳

“IT’S MY DELOITTE PARCEL!”

I shouted it out loud, and suddenly both of our faces became🥳🤩

I thought I would open it only after finishing my work.

But my mom’s curiosity had already reached its limit 😄

She couldn’t wait anymore and immediately started opening the parcel.

As soon as the outer brown packaging was removed, I saw a black box with the white “Deloitte 🟢” logo on it.

That moment felt different.

But seeing the Deloitte branding in front of my eyes suddenly made everything feel real.

I quickly moved closer, and with full excitement, we opened the box.

Inside, I found:

💌 The Message Inside the Letter

I carefully read the message and followed the instructions mentioned in the letter. As instructed, I scanned the QR code out of curiosity to see what was waiting on the other side.

I thought:

“Okay… maybe this is finally the Offer Letter page and I have to accept it now”

Because until then, I had only received the Letter of Intent (LOI) and goodies-related updates, and I was still waiting for the actual Offer Letter.

As soon as I scanned the QR code and got redirected to a website, I realized it was something completely different 😄

Instead of an Offer Letter page, it was more like an interactive website experience that felt similar to a game.

I clicked on the “Launch” button and continued further.

The next screen asked me to select an avatar that would represent me throughout the journey.

I looked through the avatars for a few seconds and finally selected the last avatar.

After choosing it, I clicked on the “Start” button and moved ahead.

The next screen showed five different levels, making it feel even more like a game where I had to progress through different stages one by one.

My avatar was standing at the first stage, so I clicked on it and continued further.

As soon as I entered the first level, a quiz-style question appeared on the screen.

At first, I thought it would be something technical or related to Deloitte, but the questions were more about choices, preferences, and understanding personality.

I’ll share a couple of sample questions below:

At each stage, I was asked around 4–5 questions, and I continued progressing through the levels one by one.

The questions weren’t technical; they were more about preferences, choices, and understanding personality traits.

I kept selecting my answers and moved through all five stages.

After completing all the stages, I finally reached the result page.

🟢 Ending This Chapter…

And that’s where my journey stands for now 💚

Initially, I thought this blog would continue all the way from the Verbal Offer to the Joining Letter, but my journey took a few unexpected turns along the way.

Recently, I also received an offer from TCS, and currently I have multiple opportunities in hand — Infosys, Deloitte, and TCS.

At this stage, I’m still exploring the path ahead and waiting to see where my journey finally leads me.

For now, this is where I’ll pause my Deloitte story.

And if I eventually begin my journey at Deloitte, then this definitely won’t be the end 👀
