TRUMP INVITES XI JINPING FOR HIS INAUGURAL
A POSITVE MOVE BY TRUMP FOR WORLD PEACE

If Trump has invited Xi Jinping to his presidential inauguration in 2025, it is a sign of Trump’s maturity in handling foreign affairs, especially China. China is a great economic power in the world, after USA, and a major military power in Asia.
USA CHINA RELATIONSHIP
USA on Backfoot It has been a roller coaster ride since the 19th century. Specially after the Chinese Communist Party drove out Chaing Kai Shek’s Chinese Nationalist Army, Kuomintang (KMT) out of the mainland of China. Ideological differences and USA’s commitment to safeguard Formosa now Taiwan have led to naval manoeuvres and confrontations in the South China Sea.
Problems continue even today, made more critical and dangerous with the expansion of Chinese navy and missile technology advances.
Korean war had pitted US forces against the Chinse PLA and ended in a draw in the 1950s. Add the route of the US forces in Vietnam in 1975, when Ho Chi Minh’s Communist forces were backed heavily by China and Russia. Economic Two decades of embrace and love from USA thanks to Deng Xiao Pings deft handling of Chinese foreign policy boosted Chinese economic might to astronomical proportions, and has made USA a debtor nation to Communist China. A trade deficit of 280 billion US$ in 2023 (average approx. 350 billion per year from 2013 to 2023). Closure of industries and loss of Jobs, courtesy Obama’s administration had left a bitter taste in American working class. Trumps’s effort to salvage the economic situation in his last term upset the Chinese cart and many industries have moved out of China to Vietnam, India, USA etc.
This has led to downturn in Chine's economy, and is a big headache foe CCP and Xi Jinping.
Military moves by China under Xi Jin Ping Xi Jin Ping in his desire to become a Super Mao had embarked on an unprecedented upgradation of military strength, naval fleet (projected to overtake USA by 2024 in terms of tonnage), supersonic missiles. Xi’s open threats to run over Taiwan have compelled USA to adopt means and measures to counter China in the South China sea. Quad of which Inda and Australia are also members is in effect a counter measure to maintain a semblance of parity in the Indian Ocean and South China Sea. Add US support to India, sale of fighter aircraft etc and verbal support on Indian defence issues with respect to China. China feels Checkmated and finds that Chinese move to dethrone USA are being thwarted by Taiwan, India and USA highly irritating and irksome.
Naturally, US Chinese relationship had gone downhill in the last decade, economically, militarily and diplomatically.
If Trump uses this opportunity to iron out the differences by giving China a major PR boost in the eyes of the world, it would be a big step forward, in maintaining peace in South China Sea, and may even help in settling Ukraine Issue.
Or it may just be that the CCP would view it as weak if there is any understanding between the two major leaders of the world. Let us hope their meeting will reduce tensions in the maritime zone of China sea, and a step towards solving the Russo Ukraine imbroglio.
IF XI DECLINES INVITE
However, there are whispers of XI Jinping not accepting the invitation. Reasons attributed can vary from health issues, pique due to earlier anti-China remarks and actions, to Xi’s fear of moving out of the country fearing a coup.
It will be a great setback to the process of improving relations between USA and China.
INDIA
HAS MODI BEEN INVITED?
If invited, will he go, if Xi also attends?
Trump and Modi appear to have good mutual vibes.

If Xi Jin ping does not attend it will go in favour of Indian interests if Narendra Modi as Prime Minister of India attends, even if he is one among more than one head of state.
“Trump spokeswoman Karoline Leavitt confirmed the president-elect’s invitation on “Fox and Friends” Thursday after it was first reported by CBS News Wednesday night, telling the Fox hosts it was “an example of President Trump creating an open dialogue with leaders of countries that are not just allies but our adversaries and our competitors, too.” https://www.forbes.com/sites/alisondurkee/2024/12/13/trump-invited-chinese-president-xi-jinping-and-other-world-leaders-to-inauguration-heres-why-thats-unprecedented/
