📄 How I Converted 53 JPGs into One PDF on Windows 11?

A simple workflow that saved me time and kept every page perfectly organized.

There are few things more satisfying than finding a free tool that simply works.

Recently, I scanned over 53 pages of physical documents using my smartphone. Like most mobile scanning apps, each page was saved as an individual JPG image. That’s great for capturing documents — but not so great when you need to send or archive them as a single PDF.

I was expecting the usual struggle: expensive software, annoying watermarks, or websites asking me to upload sensitive documents.

Instead, the solution turned out to be surprisingly simple.

🚀 Step 1: Rename Your Files Properly

Before creating the PDF, make sure your images are named in the correct order.

Instead of:

• Scan1.jpg
• Scan2.jpg
• Scan10.jpg
• Scan11.jpg

Rename them like this:

• 001.jpg
• 002.jpg
• 003.jpg
• …
• 053.jpg

Why?

Because Windows sorts files alphabetically — not numerically. Without leading zeros, page 10 may appear before page 2, and your PDF ends up looking like someone shuffled the pages.

A few minutes spent renaming your files can save you a lot of frustration later.

📑 Step 2: Use PDFgear

☑️I downloaded & installed PDFgear app.

☑️Downloaded via Brave Browser. I use it as a burner browser, no sync, no logins.

☑️Ran a Kaspersky Premium Security Scan

☑️Then proceeded to the installation.

The experience was refreshingly straightforward:

✅ Open PDFgear

✅Under ‘Hot Tools’ Menu— Select ‘Image to PDF’

✅Click on ‘Add Image’ — Selected all scanned JPG images.

✅ Confirmed the page order.

✅Double Checked Export Settings.

✅ Exported as a single (create) PDF.

That’s it.

No watermarks.

No forced subscription.

No uploading personal documents to an online converter.

The resulting PDF looked clean, professional, and preserved the image quality perfectly.

💡 Bonus Tips

Here are a few lessons worth remembering:

• 📄 Scan documents at 300 DPI for the best balance between quality and file size. (Not yet Tested)
• 🖼️ JPG is usually ideal for everyday documents.
• 🔍 If your PDF needs searchable text, use OCR after creating it. (Not yet Tested)
• 🔒 Password-protect PDFs containing personal or financial information before sharing them.
• 💾 Keep your original scanned images as a backup.
