Beauty — but not the social media kind

I love the 80s and 90s movie, there is something about the women that surpassed make-up, clothes and hair. They had a certain aura, typical example is Marilyn Monroe. There is a video of her that is etched in my brain.

I want beauty people that people can’t put down to one thing, beauty that can’t be explained. The “je ne sais quoi” kind of beauty.

From my trial and error and constant observing of women with this quality, I’ve narrowed this aura down to a couple things

1. Having Personal Style, Looking good = feeling good
2. Being Calm & COLLECTED (Self containment)
3. Impeccable grooming
4. Healthy Lifestyle
5. Elegant Mindset — Carrying one’s self with sophistication

Its not the “under the needle” kind of beauty nor the plastic nails, fake lashes, extravagant clothing kind. I mentally call the “Christian” kind. This “Elegant” beauty is the kind i read about from women in the Bible. Not the adorning of silver and gold or braiding of hair but the gentle & quiet spirit of the heart.

I want to treat myself and others with respect, i enjoy being calm, gentle & grounded, I’ve experienced the benefit of collecting myself (speech & thought), i love when my speech is ladylike, being soft allows me enjoy my relationship, I enjoy being graceful with my movements. Honoring my body with the clothes i wear

This is the beauty i want to emulate.
