Only The Soul Knows

Lost in a maze of my thoughts penning down words for others to relate, releasing them to the universe, It matters not What others think.

Reality is each one’s choice, But don’t play games with my heart Or my soul with you shall depart.

For I’m a creature on my own, I won’t travel down your road to appease your desire, for I believe in moments That touches one’s soul.

Author’s Note: Writing from the Heart

I love when someone connects with my work, but if they don’t… that’s okay. What matters more is how I protect my own peace. A personal issue outside of writing is a different story — sometimes people speak without knowing the truth, and I have to decide whether correcting them is worth my energy. Most of the time, it isn’t. Life is short, and less drama is a blessing.

This poem reminds me why I write:

• Because it’s part of me, like the air I breathe.
• To release my thoughts before they overwhelm me
• To touch others with my words and hope they make sense.

All, while writing from the heart, from my soul, and not for anyone’s approval… although it doesn’t hurt if someone likes it. 😎
