The puke punk Presley

Because every generation gets the Elvis it deserves

There’s never been a better time to be an Elvis impersonator. With the Presley estate milking his back catalogue all year round, the black Elvis, Chinese Elvis and Asian Elvis (that’s “Patelvis” to you) must be rubbing their hands with glee. So what’s the new King on the block got to do to get noticed? Well, how about singing ‘Love Me Tender’ butt-naked and covered in birdseed, having six hens peck your ass to ribbons?

Meet Extreme Elvis. “I was living in San Francisco during the dot com explosion,” he uh-huhs. “People were forgetting the true values of rock’n’roll so I figured that what they needed was a face-full of shit. People are too fucking complacent. So I piss on them, I piss in their mouths, they piss on me …”

Since honing his act on the Bay Area’s anything-goes performance art stages EE has played throughout the States, even Memphis. But now he’s threatening to do something that Presley never did and come to Britain.

“England needs me,” he tells us. “You make fun out of Americans but you’ve got Bush Jr! Our show’s taken on a political angle. We get people out of the crowd to wear hoods and arrange them in a naked human pyramid like in Iraq. Then I sing ‘American Trilogy’ and sodomise myself with red, white and blue lightsticks.”

Before anyone did anything, Elvis did everything’ runs the current Elvis ad slogan but after hearing one particularly choice anecdote, now we’re not so sure. “On tour with a metal band, our guitarist borrowed their guitar, a lovely Flying V,” he recalls fondly. “I masturbated over it in an attempt to throw him off his guitar solo; mashed my cum right into the strings! The guy whose guitar it was came after me in tears.” In a good year for Elvis phonies, this one pisses on them all. Martin Horsfield
