Bengkulu — Bengkulu Class IIA Correctional Institution (Lapas Bengkulu) once again conducted its morning assembly combined with the Weekly Discipline Program as part of efforts to strengthen an orderly, professional, and integrity-driven work culture within the correctional environment on Thursday (June 25).

The activity, held at the prison courtyard, was led by the Head of Security Administration and Order Section, Supian Natalis, who served as the assembly supervisor. The event was attended by all staff members and directly monitored by the Head of Bengkulu Prison, Julianto Budhi Prasetyono, along with structural officials.

In his remarks, Supian Natalis reminded all employees to maintain work discipline, enhance responsibility in carrying out their duties, and uphold professionalism in providing services. According to him, discipline is the primary foundation for supporting security, order, and the successful implementation of correctional functions.

Following the morning assembly, the Weekly Discipline Program continued with a Grooming Inspection Movement and Marching Skills Training (LKBB). The activity aimed to increase employees’ awareness of the importance of professional appearance while fostering teamwork and discipline through marching exercises.

Due to the large number of participants, employees were divided into two groups to ensure the effectiveness of the program. Supian Natalis was accompanied by the Head of Community Guidance and Care Subsection, M. Aris Kurniawan, who provided guidance and refreshed participants on proper marching movements.

In addition to the marching drill, officials conducted inspections of uniforms and service attributes as part of employee discipline development. The inspection serves as an effort to cultivate a work culture that prioritizes orderliness, compliance with regulations, and readiness in carrying out daily duties.

Head of Bengkulu Prison, Julianto Budhi Prasetyono, emphasized that the Weekly Discipline Program is an important coaching instrument to maintain discipline consistency among all employees. According to him, discipline is reflected not only in job performance but also in attitude, appearance, and compliance with institutional regulations.

“Through this activity, we hope that all employees will further understand the importance of discipline as a work culture that must be consistently applied in every aspect of duty implementation,” he stated.

The activity was conducted orderly and enthusiastically. All participants actively took part in the grooming inspection and marching drills as a shared commitment to improving performance quality and supporting the creation of a professional, disciplined, and integrity-based working environment.
