Six weeks ago, I had no idea that downloading one app would completely change how I viewed selling online.

I recently finished updating and finalizing my guide, **How I Sold 46 Items on Vinted in 6 Weeks**, and as I looked back over everything that has happened during these past several weeks, I realized this has been a whirlwind — in the very best way. It has been exciting, encouraging, and honestly, a reminder that God often answers our prayers in ways we never expect.

Sometimes God Answers Prayers in Unexpected Ways

A few weeks before I ever discovered Vinted, I had been praying.

My husband and I are currently renting while we work toward buying a home. Because our current place doesn’t have room for everything we own, we have a climate-controlled storage unit. My goal was simple: start decluttering, sell some jewelry and clothing, and hopefully reduce our monthly storage costs by downsizing to a smaller unit—or eliminating it altogether.

Around that same time, something unexpected happened.

I used to regularly watch Dana Loesch’s podcast on The First TV through Roku. For whatever reason, I had stopped watching because I couldn’t access it on my phone. Then one day, I suddenly thought, “Why don’t I just watch her on YouTube instead?”

So, I did.

While watching one of her episodes, I saw an advertisement for the Vinted app. Looking back now, I truly believe that wasn’t a coincidence. It was a God-incidence.

From 9 Sales in a Year to 46 Sales in 6 Weeks

The year before, I had sold about nine items on Mercari, mostly jewelry.

There was absolutely nothing wrong with that experience, but I simply didn’t know there were other platforms with larger buyer communities. When I decided to try Vinted, I honestly had no expectations.

Then everything changed. Within just three and a half weeks, I had sold 14 items.

That experience inspired me to write my first beginner’s guide, so I could document everything I had learned while it was still fresh in my mind.

But the story didn’t end there.

◾I kept listing items consistently.

◾I kept shipping quickly.

◾I kept learning.

Now, after six weeks, I’ve sold 46 items, and that number has honestly surprised me. Updating my guide was an easy decision because I wanted it to reflect what kept happening — not just my initial success.

Helping Someone Else Experience Their First Sale

One of my favorite moments happened this past weekend.

A family member decided she wanted to start decluttering too, so I helped her create her account and begin listing items. We photographed the front and back of each item, photographed the brand labels, and discussed writing clear descriptions.

She listed only a few items.

Before my husband and I had even finished saying goodbye and were walking out the door, her phone buzzed.

She had made her very first sale.

Watching someone else experience that excitement reminded me why I enjoy teaching what I’m learning. Success is always more meaningful when you can share it with someone else.

Why This Means More Than Selling Online

I’ve been a freelance writer for over 25 years, and I’ve always felt confident writing. Digital marketing has been a much newer journey for me.

Like many people, I invested time learning, taking courses, and trying different strategies. Some things worked well. Others didn’t. At times, I wondered whether I had misunderstood God’s direction because the progress felt much slower than I expected.

I think it’s important to be honest about that. Not every new venture produces instant results. That’s why these last six weeks have meant so much to me. This wasn’t just about earning money. It was about rebuilding confidence.

It reminded me that sometimes God uses one opportunity to prepare us for another. He teaches us through every season — even the slower ones.

What I also love about selling on Vinted is that you’re not simply creating another digital product. You’re helping someone find something they genuinely want while giving new life to items that might otherwise sit in a closet or storage box. It’s practical, encouraging, and rewarding all at once.

A New Chapter for My Guide

After updating my guide, I felt led to make one more change. It is now available as an affiliate product through my Stan Store.

That means anyone who purchases the guide can also choose to recommend it using their own affiliate link and earn a 30% commission when someone purchases through their referral.

I love this because it creates another opportunity for people who are already learning how to declutter and sell. If the guide helps them, they can also share it with others and potentially earn additional income along the way.

Looking Forward

◾I’m still working through closets.

◾I’m still sorting through storage.

◾I’m still listing items every week.

And every sale brings me one step closer to simplifying our home, reducing expenses, and moving toward the future my husband and I have been praying for. This experience has reminded me that faith often looks like taking one small step at a time.

Sometimes God answers our prayers through opportunities we would never have sought out ourselves.

I’m grateful that one YouTube video, one advertisement, and one decision to try something new led me here. If you’ve been thinking about decluttering your home, earning a little extra income, or simply trying something different, I hope my story encourages you to take that first step.
