I Switched From a PDF Media Kit to a Notion Page — My Reply Rate Doubled in 14 Days

PDF media kits are not a branding problem. They are a logistics problem.
I figured this out after three PR coordinators at mid-size DTC brands told me the same thing in the same week: PDF attachments create friction. They download slowly, they break on half the email clients, and they cannot play a single second of your actual work. I had been sending a Canva PDF for months and averaging a 14% reply rate. I built a Notion page in one afternoon. Two weeks later, my reply rate hit 31%.
Here is exactly how the switch works — and why most creators still have not made it.
(I have linked the ready-to-use template I built at the bottom if you want to skip straight to pitching.)
Lesson 1: A PDF Cannot Show Your Work. A Notion Page Can.
My first media kit had seventeen screenshots from TikTok. Zero brands could tell from those images whether I could actually hold attention.
A Notion page embeds real video. When a brand manager clicks your link, they see your content playing before they read a single word. That is the difference between telling someone you are good at video and proving it in the first three seconds. Static thumbnails ask for trust. Embedded content earns it.
Lesson 2: Sending Your Rates as an Attachment Is a Version Control Nightmare
I emailed my rate card in January. By March, I had underpriced myself by about $150 per package. Every brand I pitched in those two months had numbers I did not stand behind anymore.
With a Notion rate card, I update the table once. Every brand that clicks my link sees the current version. No resending. No “just so you know, my rates have changed” follow-up emails.
My current rate card runs four tiers:
- Single Scroll-Stopper — 1 edited video, organic usage: $150
- Triple Pack — 3 unique videos with different hooks: $399
- Paid Ads Bundle — 3 videos + raw footage + 30-day ad rights: $599
- Raw Footage Only — Unedited 4K clips and B-roll: $250
Each tier spells out exactly what is included. Brands self-select. I spend less time in discovery calls.

Lesson 3: PR Managers Check Emails on Their Phones — Your PDF Zooms to 300%
I tested this myself. Opened my old Canva PDF on a 390px screen. It required four pinch-and-zoom moves just to read the bio section.
A published Notion page is mobile-responsive by default. It loads in under two seconds and stacks cleanly on any screen size. The brand manager sees your best work immediately, without fighting the interface to get there.

Lesson 4: Looking Like an Agency Changes What People Pay You
Most solo creators send messy pitch decks with inconsistent fonts and placeholder images. When your media kit loads like a polished agency website — clean typography, organized sections, embedded contact form — the brand calibrates their expectations upward before they even read your rates.
You stop competing with other individual creators. You start competing with agencies. And your price is a fraction of theirs.
Lesson 5: The Setup Takes 15 Minutes — Most Creators Just Have Not Done It Yet
Here is the exact build process, step by step.
Step 1: Create a new Notion page. Toggle Full Width on in the page settings. Choose Mono or Serif for a clean, modern font.
Step 2: Add a 2-column layout. Left column: professional headshot and a 2-sentence bio. Right column: a callout block with your location, email, average views, and engagement rate.
Step 3: Create a 3-column layout for video embeds. Use the /embed block and paste your top three links — one organic UGC, one paid ads-style clip, one aesthetic or ASMR piece.
Step 4: Insert a simple table for your rate card. Four columns: Package Name, Deliverables, Usage Rights, Starting Price. Bold the best-seller row.
Step 5: Click Share in the top right. Go to the Publish tab. Toggle Publish to Web. Copy the URL. That link is what goes in every pitch email from now on.
Ready to Start Pitching Brands This Week?
I spent three months testing and rebuilding this system. Then I packaged the whole thing — portfolio page, rate card, email templates, and every tracking database I use — into one place so you can skip the setup entirely.
What’s inside the UGC Creator Hub:
- ✅ A pre-designed Notion portfolio page, built for Notion Publish to Web — so brands see a professional link the moment you hit send
- ✅ A live rate card with 4 pricing tiers already structured — so you stop underselling yourself mid-pitch cycle
- ✅ 5 cold email templates written to go alongside your portfolio link — so you know exactly what to say and in what order
- ✅ A Brand CRM with production Kanban — so you never lose track of who you pitched, what stage they are at, or when to follow up
- ✅ A financial tracker — so you can see at a glance what you have earned and what is still pending
One brand deal pays for it many times over.
