UKPA Month Notes : January 2026
So — the really big news this week was the re-launch of the organisation on the 14th of Jan! This was accompanied by our new website which includes memberships at £5 a month and many volunteering opportunities.
Memberships are building up slowly. At the end of January we’re still going to have under £100 in the organisation’s bank account.
At the same time we’ve been doing a lot with the leaders of various online and in-person polyamory communities around the country. We now have an active WhatsApp group and a monthly video call. The UKPA website will also soon be expanded to create a unique page for each community.
There’s a number of things we’re planning to get into in 2026 but the most important one currently is responding to the Office for National Statistics [consultation on the 2031 Census](http://Census 2031 topic consultation) because that closes at the end of February. It’s our hope to follow the model of Stonewall working with the ONS to develop census questions on sexuality so that we can have a similar dialog about adding 1–2 question on polyamory for the 2031 census.
As ever, if you would like to know more about the UKPA and especially if you’d be interest in potentially volunteering some of your time to help out than please don’t hesitate to email us info@ukpolyamory.org.
Here’s to a successful first year of the relaunched UKPA — the first of many to come!
