Global Warming Isn’t Real, Guys, the Climate’s Always Changing

There’s not enough man-made CO₂ to alter the weather

Global warming isn’t real. The Earth has always gone through climate change.

It is an undisputed fact that the world’s climate has always changed and will continue to change. Until twelve thousand years ago, much of Canada was under ice, and it is thanks to natural climate change that we can live here today.

There is however no scientific consensus on the theory that CO₂ produced by human activity is causing dangerous global warming today or will in the future, and that the world is facing environmental catastrophes unless these emissions are drastically reduced. Many renowned scientists continue to challenge this theory.

Confusion and realism are the yin and yang of belief. Believe in a lie. Spin it and tell it enough times, and it’ll become true. The above is quoted from the People’s Party of Canada.

I grew up in Toronto, Ontario, in eastern Canada. Winters brought snowstorms. My friends and I threw snowballs at each other, built snow forts, and played American football in inclement weather. I had a lovely childhood.

But these days, Toronto doesn’t bring much snow. Sure, there are a few snowstorms or lake-effect snow that require the snowplowing crews to work overnight, but they’re not as frequent as I remember.

I’m a snowboarder, and it’s embarrassing to snowboard in Ontario. Our largest ski resort, Blue Mountain, has a vertical drop of only 220 meters, and the lack of snow doesn’t help the situation. I’ve experienced t-shirt-and-shorts weather in December and January. I often go to neighboring Quebec or the Canadian Rockies to get powder.

I wonder if Rodrigo noticed any changes since he lived a good chunk of his life on the other side of Canada.

I do believe Earth’s climate has always shifted throughout its existence. I mean, the supercontinent Pangea flourished, and the weather must have been drastically different then. But today’s rate of global climate change is abnormal.

Other people have it much worse than me with floods and droughts.

Mary Acton, the lack of snow in Canada is noticeable, and I’m not happy about it. But we still have better ski resorts and snow than the Alps. In your face, Europe. 🤪

By the way, I don’t get sunburnt in the northern hemisphere, but I do in the southern. Do you know why?
