can you tell when a designer LOVES women?

women are the centre of the fashion industry however with so many famous male designers its become easy to see when a designer is designing for himself and when hes designing for women.

in this article im going to be focusing on Giorgio Armani and his newest 2026 collection that was showcased in september earlier this year. the colour theme ranged from purples to blues and each design contrasted beautifully with each models skin tone bringing attention to the designs as well as the women wearing them. my favourite example of this is model Leila Nda wearing the Prive purple jacquard suit, the deep purple elevates her darker skin tone perfectly and we can tell from this that each models outfit was picked with this in mind.

The silhouettes of the designs were mainly flowy and boxey rather than tight fitting though not in a way that is unflattering to the womens figure and rather enhances it. whilst they are boxey they are structured in a way that makesthe models look elegant yet simple such as the purple slip dress that intentionally draws attention to the models figure in all the right ways.

speaking of the purple slip dress the slight transparent material of the piece, whilst almost unnoticeable at first, is in my opinion an incredible and beautiful addition to the dress as it adds depth to the otherwise plain peice and really gives it more detail.
