By the way, the movie is called Zathura.“”Zathura: A Space Adventure” starts with two brothers. These brothers, Walter and Danny, are always fighting. One day their father has a job and he leaves them in the care of their older sister Lisa and goes to work. When Danny angers Walter, Walter leaves him in the basement. Danny finds a mysterious board game on the staircase shelf. The game is called Zathura. Danny starts playing the game alone and the game gives him a card: ‘Meteor shower, take precautionary measures.’ Suddenly the roof of the house is punctured and rocks start to enter the house. The children open the door of the house and look out and see that they are in space.

They have to play the game to get out of space. But when the game gives them bad cards, they have to deal with it. The game gives them such cards that sometimes they even face death. Another card appears: ‘Save the helpless astronaut.’ At that moment an astronaut appears in their window and a new hero is added to our story. The astronaut saves the children from creatures called Zorgons. The way to get rid of them is to turn off the lights and the fire, because these two things attract them. They need to keep playing the game to get out of space.

Walter gets a wish card. Walter wishes for a signed soccer ball. Danny says to him, ‘Why didn’t you wish for us to go back home, idiot? Walter says the astronaut is pressuring him. The astronaut tells them his story: He used to play Zathura with his brother. He and his brother were always fighting. When he got a wish card, he wished that his brother would never be born. After he played, it was his brother’s turn in the game, so the game didn’t let him play and the astronaut stayed in space.

Anyway, we continue with our story. What happened to Lisa, Lisa was frozen. When she wakes up, she sees that the house is ruined. Then they have to hide because the Zorgons raid the house. But they have to get the game. So they send Danny in the food elevator to the basement to get the game. Danny manages to get it and they start playing the game again. Walter gets another wish card. He says, ‘I wish for the astronaut to be reunited with his brother. Suddenly Danny appears from the void. Then we learn that the astronaut is actually Walter grown up and the astronaut and his brother disappear.

The children finally finish the game. The game ends and he says, ‘Thank you for playing. And the movie ends.

It was a movie I watched as a child and I admired it. If you ask what the movie is about, I can say the importance of brotherhood. Thank you for reading.

Why I Loved It: As a kid, I adored the mix of chaos and heart. The brotherly feud felt real, and the space adventure kept me glued to the screen. To this day, I hum the Zorgon theme when I turn off lights!
