Time To Say GoodBye

Every time whenever I have my last day at school/college/university, I used to think why this is going to make me sad? I remember my first day at that institute that was boring and quite challenging. But with the passage of time, it became part of your soul. Slowly we got attached to the people, place, and environment.

This happened when I joined Amal Fellowship program. At first, I was not sure whether it will be interesting or not. But as the program proceeded, I became indulged in its activities. Time flies so early that it seems as if I started my fellowship just a few days ago.

Now 18–10–2020 is our last day at the fellowship. Each of us was sad. Our PM Sir Noor, tried to make everyone laugh and end the journey with a smiling face. He asked us about our favorite character that we want to be in our lives. As always our fellows shared some motivational characters and some wild characters that they want to be in their lives.

Then we have some fun with the fellows. Each one was teasing and cheering on their fellows and friends.

Our program manager gave us a wonderful opportunity to write verbal appreciation notes to our fellows. We were given 25 minutes but everyone was so excited to write more and more about their fellows that our PM had to extend the time. It was a great experience to read others' opinions about you.

Then we were given the task to play the Scavenger Hunt Game. In this, we have to collect different items present in our home. It was the most exciting part of the last day’s session. All the members were guessing about the items and others were taking selfies with those items. All were in hurry, excited, active, and had a smile.

Then Sir Noor gave us the feedback to each of the fellows. It was so constructive and helpful to our building confidence in us. He also told us our week points. Ma’am Fizza added what she observed about the fellow during the whole journey.

In the end, our fellows arranged an activity of giving titles to each of the fellows. This activity was just to extend the time that we can spend with each other. As no one wants to leave the session.

Overall it was fun, learning, appreciation. Now, I am more specific about my future goals. I have pointed out my weaknesses and figure out some solutions to overcome this. I am confident that in sha A Allah, in the future I will become able to deliver my presentation in a better way.

The most important thing I learnt from Amal is happiness. It is not necessary to achieve high to become happy in life. The important thing is to do your best and leave rest on Allah. Now, I am less fearful about my future and tries to think positive about life. Our main purpose is to bring happiness in others lives. It can be as small as passing smile to other person or appreciating their small effort, this can make someone’s day.

Goodbye to sweet fellows and our Amal teachers. Now, everyone will indulge in their busy lives. But someday we will meet and will rewind how awesome time we have spent with each other.
