Imbolc is often called the Magical New Year. It is a calendrical festival tied to a precise date — February 1st (celebrated from January 31st to February 2nd).

This is a Celtic festival connected with the awakening of the Element of Air and the birth of a New World.

In ancient times, Brigid was depicted as a bird with a human head, symbolizing her role as a transmitter of knowledge: from the gods to the priests, and from the priests to the people.

Later, Brigid took on a fully human form, becoming the goddess of crafts and the Mother of the Winds.
