**Filmmakers Gotham Chopra and Erik LeDrew have teamed with HBO for ***Alex vs AROD*, a three-part documentary examining the complex life of Alex Rodriguez and scheduled to debut via **HBO** and HBO Max on November 6, 2025. The series traces his path from baseball prodigy to polarizing superstar, and from public scandal to personal reckoning.

In a discussion with the ***Paltrocast*,** Chopra and LeDrew described their goal to present Rodriguez as a human story rather than a headline. Drawing on exclusive interviews with family, teammates, and commentators, the film highlights the tension between “Alex,” the kid from Miami driven by dreams, and “A-Rod,” the brand that conquered — and sometimes consumed — him.

“We weren’t interested in a redemption arc,” Chopra explained. “We wanted to show a man confronting his own mythology and deciding what to do with it.”
