Sitting by the phone like I’m on detention

I feel like those love songs speak for me, when I miss you, when I crave for your attention— sitting by the phone like I'm on detention.

I don't mind if this ended up tragic, God, I sound so pathetic. But I guess that's how love works, it makes you sound stupid you don't even know it.

I wanna kiss your sadness away when we talk on the phone, but you're so faraway. I imagine touching your hands, looking at your eyes and tell you that everything's gonna be alright. But I'm here, waiting for your texts, patiently, acting like a good kid who was promised sweets.

If I'm being good, will you call me tonight?
