Gemini & Scorpio: The Unexpected dosti

Hey Everyone So, I’m back, and you know what that means? More stories! But let’s save Delhi drama for someday else. As you all know, my life attracts characters like moths to a flame. And trust me, some of these flames are downright pyrotechnic. Ever had a friend who turns a trip to the grocery store into a Mission: Impossible scenario? Hold on , because that’s just Tuesday for the walking tornado of my life. Meet “Roy”, a human fireworks festival. He doesn’t lit the crackers, crackers get burst automatically on seeing him.

We were on a trip to Mussoorie, all those twisty-turny roads in the hills. I was super sleepy after a long day, and the bus kept bouncing me around. My head felt like it might just float away! So he stretched his hand and hold onto the front seat, so that I wouldn’t tumble. After one and a half hour, when I finally woke up, I was surprised to see his arm still stretched out. He held it like that for the whole one hour and a half, even though his arm must have been tired. That’s what Roy is to me —a complex character with a unique charisma. Sometimes I wonder about Roy’s upbringing and how it shaped him into the person he is today.

Forget your usual ‘Hi, Hello’s’. Roy’s first words to me were, ‘Your eyes are very deep, it seems like you are hiding deep secrets in them’. Unnerving? Maybe, it was definitely an unconventional introduction, but that’s just Roy being Roy. Anyways, he won my heart that day itself.

Eight years ago, our paths wouldn’t have crossed in a million years. But life has a funny way of surprising you. I was buried in books, dreaming of podiums, while he was the king of classrooms and detention slips. His attempt at a 720-degree angle was definitely…creative. Two circles and a plus sign? I mean who does that.. #LOL. But somehow, we clicked. The person who used to joke about my long speeches under the sun, is now the first one cheering me on from the front row.

Math wasn’t his forte, but fitness and guitar were. He could hang effortlessly from the bar, his pinkies defying gravity as he cranked out pull-up after pull-up. But while his physique was undeniably impressive, it was his guitar that truly held me captive. When his fingers danced across the strings, weaving melodies spun from moonlight and whispered secrets, the world faded away. His talent, whether on the field, the stage, or simply in conversation, ignited admiration in boys and sparked hearts in girls.

He’s not perfect, trust me. Sometimes he gets overwhelmed and avoids answering calls, or he overthinks things until he’s paralyzed by indecision. His brothers can push his buttons, and even his friends aren’t immune to the occasional disappearing act. I literally want to kill him at times. But the thing is, he’s also honest, fiercely loyal, and has a way of making me laugh until my sides ache. He doesn’t shy away from tough conversations, even when they’re messy. He accept all his flaws gracefully and tries to overcome that too. He thrives on challenges, constantly pushing himself beyond his comfort zone. His NLU admission is a testament to his willpower, proving that weaknesses can be conquered with dedication and hard work.
