Like an interrupted pregnancy…
like a word formed but not said…
like an intention dissolved in indecision…
like a promise not kept…
like a cosmic prophesy whose time has not come…
virga hangs over my dry desert.
Ideas parch. Nothing comes of them.
Music stops before it ends. Stops, waiting.
The notes hang from the staff and fade away.
