I’d Rather Look Foolish Than Afraid

I’d rather look foolish than afraid. I’d rather look foolish than do nothing.

I’d Rather Look Foolish Than Afraid

I’d rather look foolish than afraid. I’d rather look foolish than do nothing.

I don’t make excuses. I don’t look for them. I look for ways.

Me according AI

Me according AI

There’s something about pressure I’ve learned to respect. Maybe even to need. Call it self-destructive if you want. I call it necessary.

When things fall apart, I don’t run from the weight. I lean into it.

Because that’s where I find out who I actually am.

The Discipline of Discomfort

I set my own bar. That’s the reward. Not comfort. Not ease.

Challenge.

Testing myself in situations where I don’t belong yet. Finding the edge. Then moving it.

Water was one of those edges. Panic used to own me there.

Now? I stay afloat. I swim on my back. I let water fill my ears on purpose. I try freestyle. I dive.

Next step: opening my eyes underwater.

It sounds small. It isn’t.

Strength was another. Deadlifts. Building my back.

My crooked back.

Pain became information. Not an enemy, not a signal to stop. A map.

Controlled Chaos

Some lessons don’t come from training. They come from places you wouldn’t choose.

Away games. Crowds. Noise. Adrenaline.

And then something as simple as a bathroom in a stadium in Chorzów turns into a test of character.

Discomfort, stripped down to its core.

Living in Survival Mode

Here’s the part most people don’t see.

I live with a stoma. Always have.

That means daily life is… different. More technical. More demanding. Less forgiving.

If you want normality, you have to build it yourself. Piece by piece.

And if you keep it to yourself like I do, it feels like starting a movie already tied to a bed, naked, in the middle of a fire.

But here’s the thing.

It’s still your movie.

So you get up. You move. You adapt.

And eventually, you walk out of that room.

Stress as Fuel

Public speaking became another arena.

Not despite the stress. Because of it.

Stress forces clarity. Focus. Control. It sharpens memory. Exposes hesitation. Punishes distraction.

You learn timing. You learn silence. You learn how to hold eye contact when everything in you wants to look away.

It’s not about getting through it.

It’s about showing up fully.

What Comes Next

The goal isn’t small.

Speaking on bigger stages. Maybe television. Maybe YouTube.

Speaking to people in a way that actually lands. With honesty. With empathy.

And with just enough dark humor to make the truth easier to carry.

Final Thought

You have to do something with your life.

Preferably the things that press on you the most.

Go where it’s uncomfortable. Stay there a little longer than you want to. That’s where the shift happens.

I’d rather make a hundred mistakes than stand still.

I’d rather take the hit…

and stand my ground.
