A Firsthand Account of System Failures and Separation

I am writing this to document the events that have taken place over the last year involving my fiance Kevin. It started May 20th 2025. This account is based on my personal experience, communications, and what I was told during this time. I am sharing this in hopes of clarity, accountability, and understanding of how these events unfolded.

On May 20th 2025 I called Kevin on my way to work, he was half asleep at the NorthEnd house in Concord. He said “I love you babe, have a good shift.” I went to work, about two hours into my shift my daughters school called me to tell me there was a major issue and that I needed to come. So I tried and tried to call Kevin, but it kept going voicemail and that worried me because it never would go to voicemail. I got to the school, took my daughter to the hospital and while waiting for the doctor to come see her, DCYF called me. I assumed it was because of the events that happened at the school with my daughter. Turns out the DCYF worker Meaghan Boynton was calling to tell me Kevin had been sent back behind the prison walls. She tried to tell me that he confessed on the body cam that he was meeting my daughter at stores alone. I laughed really hard because that never happened. We lived like 45 minutes away from the store, she was in public school and had no way to get to the store. Meaghan Boynton continued for weeks trying to convince me that Kevin is a monster and that he was with me to sleep with my daughter.

During this time I experienced inconsistent and unclear communication regarding what had happened and why. Information I received from different sources did not always match, and I was often left without direct answers.

This period was also emotionally difficult, as I was trying to understand the situation while maintaining a stability at home, I was also in the middle of a horrible divorce with my abusive ex husband and dealing with health issues.

I was in constant contact with Concord, NH prison staff, especially the guy Kyle Craver. Kyle would constantly tell me on a daily basis he would get me answers by the end of the day or the end of the week. It took 8 months to get any actual answers. Nicholas Duffy, the director of the halfway house in Concord NH removed me from Kevin’s visit list. This was a violation of due process, failure to provide notice which is their policy to let me and Kevin know why it was happening, arbitrary and capricious action, administrative misconduct, denial of procedural protections, and improper removal from his visitors list. They violated Code Cor 305.11, NH Admin resident approved visitors list, NH Admin code Part Cor 305.12 eligibility for visitation, and NH Admin code Part Cor 305 access to facilities and grounds. They never once told me what rule was violated or anything. The entire prison staff was trying to tell me that Kevin had violated his ARC agreement, which he never did.

In July of 2025 my daughter and I lost our home to my ex husband in the divorce making it so the two of us were homeless. So at this point I am constantly fighting with the prison staff, trying to find a lawyer, trying to get and keep a job and a place to live. My daughter and I bounced around for a bit, but in September 2025 we were able to go to a shelter and we have been here since. It isn’t all bad, but it isn’t that great here.

In August, Kevin was moved to the prison in Berlin. That was not the best thing, but we had to deal with everything that was happening. At that time I had two full time jobs, but when we were moved to the shelter I had to leave both jobs.

I continued to try to get to the bottom of what was going on with Kevin, while trying to be the best mom I could to my daughter.

In November 2025 Kevin was moved to the TWC building in Concord. It was so nice knowing he was just a mile down the road. I could talk more often on the phone with him. Christmas at the shelter was terrible. I had been blocked the day before, so I couldn’t send Kevin Christmas pictures.

March 2026 Kevin was moved to the halfway house again. I worked night and day trying to help him find a job. He finally got a job at Uno’s. And I was working at the Concord Co-Op. Things seemed to be going well. I was working on terminating my ex husbands parental rights to my daughter whom he adopted when she was four.

The first week of May 2026 I was terminated from my job because I had missed work because my daughter had been sick and then I was in the hospital because I was vomiting blood. I have stomach ulcers from the gastric bypass surgery my ex husband forced me to get in 2023.

One week after I was terminated someone from Uno’s called the prison and made reports on Kevin which caused Timothy Deschenes to handcuff Kevin and bring him back to the prison. May 12th was a normal day at first. Well kind of. My daughter and I left for a few hours because the shelters water was getting worked on. When we got back Kevin told me he had to go to the office and then that’s when he was sent back to the prison.

Commissioner William Hart told me in March that May 17th I could possibly get back on Kevin’s visit list. Just days before he is sent back, they did this on purpose.

Timothy Deschenes didn’t fill out the paperwork properly on May 12th just like last year they didn’t do the paperwork correctly. How can the prison staff continue to get away with this injustice?! Kevin and I were supposed to get married May 20th. But that can’t happen. I am dying to know why the staff at the prison don’t want the prisoners to succeed in life. Kevin has done so much to change his life for the better. I’m incredibly proud of him and all he has overcome and accomplished.

The managers at Uno’s Amy Bennet and Jamie Maynard are responsible for the fact that they never had Kevin do his onboarding paperwork, or any of the proper paperwork for working there. He started working March 23rd, his birthday. Between March and May they never gave him the forms he needed to fill out or anything? That isn’t very professional or legal. He never signed a paper saying he allowed them to record him, and legally he needed to.

At this point, I am smart enough to document everything. I screenshot everything, I write it all down dates times names everything. I also print off all the emails and correspondences between me and anyone in the prison.

Honestly the Concord, NH prison for men is staffed with just the worst people. They are completely biased, and abuse their power so much.

One of the staff members Laurie Foster, on May 12th basically called me a liar about how the PC Timothy Deschenes treated me and scared me that afternoon. Timothy Deschenes isn’t a real cop or anything, he is the halfway house manager. He is really just a pencil pusher and I am convinced he is upset that he isn’t a real cop or something because he tries to act all tough and mighty when he really is just a nobody. Nicholas Duffy is the Director of the Division of Rehabilitation services, another not real cop who abuses his power and I’m convinced he doesn’t want Kevin to have a normal and happy life.

I am not saying what caused Kevin to go to prison in the first place wasn’t a bad thing. What he did wasn’t good, but he has been trying to make up for it every day for the past 8 years. He has admitted so many times what he did was terrible and he hates himself for it. But he has turned into a better man. He has me, his waifu as he calls me, and our daughter (she calls him dad and has for years). He has a family and just wants to come home to us.

Timothy Deschenes and the rest of that staff has caused Kevin to lose his job, so loss of wages, loss of housing opportunities, and has caused me physically pain from the stomach ulcers. The stress from all of them screwing up and being complete assholes to just be honest, has caused my stomach ulcers to start to open again and make me vomit more and more.

I am writing this to try to bring awareness to the injustice of how the prison staff is corrupt and biased. Also I want people to know that just because someone did a bad thing doesn’t mean they are a bad person.
