Song of the Summer Goes to… Priceless

It’s never easy to choose a favourite summer song. There is a wide range of options to choose from.

Heat brings out the best in us, especially after the cold winters we go through. All that to say that summertime is about being outdoors, feeling the warm breeze on your hair, and cooling off with some ice cream.

This time of year is also the perfect opportunity for road trips, where you can lose track of space and time. It’s the moment to reflect and take a break for yourself, free from the crushing deadlines of work.

Driving for a long time is more enjoyable with music you like. You can listen to old tracks or new music, but a mix of both is usually the best choice.

Everyone has their preferred summer song. It doesn’t need to be one track on the American Top 40 Charts that everyone listens to. It can be your treasure to cherish.

For me, the song of summer 2025 is a no-brainer. It holds a special place in my heart, given that I needed some comfort back in May. Priceless from Maroon 5 represents this new phase of the year, where we can laugh, dance, and run if needed (as seen in the music video).

Even though Priceless is still on the charts, I consider the song distinct from the rest of the most-listened-to hits. It helps that Adam Levine’s voice is so smooth.

The song is relatively short, under 3 minutes. It brings us fans to the group’s old songs from Hands All Over or Songs About Jane. Most of all, the song is catchy. The hook stays in your head. And the music video is full of tension between the two singers. It gives us a sense that the main protagonists have a love-hate relationship, as seen in Mr. & Mrs. Smith.

That’s how you know a song has grown on you: you can listen to it as often as you want. To me, I never get tired of hearing Priceless. I felt the same way as a kid listening to Sunday Morning on the radio every Sunday.

With Priceless, it feels like the group has rediscovered its sound. Maroon 5 hasn’t lost its pop mojo and hooks. Things have been altered slightly and methodologically. It’s a fun song that brings smiles to everyone’s face.

New album: Love Is Like

One of the world’s most talented bands, which has won three Grammys, is releasing its new album in a few weeks, on August 15. It is their first album since JORDI in 2021.

This new album is a sign that Priceless will live forever, integrated into a bigger project that won’t be as lengthy as their other albums.

As of now, the group has released the other singles All Night and California.
