Meandering
Emotions.
Meandering
Emotions.

photograph by Author.
Up in the morning and without warning, My mood has moved into another realm, Otherwise, I’m fine, contented and sublime, And feel in control here at the helm.
I deem it part of my destiny, But knowing my future is unknown, I optimise my opportunities, And with the wind, I let myself be blown.
As day turns into nighttime, My routine takes me down a certain route, And then, after all is said and done, I toot, toot on my flute.
Mixed and meandering emotions, Always there but less likely to be seen, Wind-like moody waters, Some movement appears behind the scenes.
Relationships depend on reliance, A friend will defend you till the last, The epitome is when it all happens, And is often a blast from the past.
Otherwise, there’s time for meditation, Quiet times sitting by the shore, Watching the shimmering reflections, And I was wondering what life has in store.
Some fell by the wayside, Others will be there forevermore, Otherwise, there’s time for contemplation, And wondering what it is all for.
Standing next to miles of memories, Otherwise, there’s the day and the routine, Gathering the kindling of experiences, Here, beyond, and in between.
