Bravo! both for the topic and the presentation.
I started losing interest in aboveground comics when Marvel let Ditko and Kirby leave the bullpen. I stopped reading them when DC unceremoniously dropped Kirby’s “Fourth World” titles back in the early ’70s. But I kept on reading underground comix for several years.
If you’re not familiar with the undergrounds, you might enjoy some of them for the issues they addressed, the way-way-way outside-the-box humor, and also for the “liberal” approach to page breakdowns some the of the artists used.
A fave of mine was Fred Schrier, apparently forgotten by all but those of us who bought and read his work 40–50 years ago.
