As I write, COP 27 is getting under way in Sharm el-Sheikh. After twenty-six COPs, they should get it right on the twenty-seventh attempt, surely? [The numbers in that sentence, if you prefer them as numbers, look like this: 26 previous COPs; this is the 27th attempt.]
