Will Die One Day

I was competing the whole day. Bare competition and nothing else. The day ends with me tired and weary, having done more than many people would do a day, still according to me, I am the worst in the room. ’cause I couldn’t score more than that person or I wasn’t doing enough like this person; my friend who did worse than me last time, did better than me this time, so I should have done pathetic. The constant feeling of self-doubt. Wanting to genuinely appreciate people, but self-doubt consumes you, so you feel lesser, seeing people around win. This is indeed a genuine concern for even the most talented.

There are times self-criticism and Jealousy meet, and you fail to understand whether you are a jealous brat or someone in the pit of overthinking who cannot control being critical of oneself. This is a serious problem arising when one gives too much control to unworthy thoughts about oneself.

Yes, sometimes jealousy is encouraged by society so that you become more competitive. They encourage comparison so you never fall behind, but in the meantime, the two tools you learn are strong steroids that harm you more than they help you. You constantly feel behind, can’t live in situations where you meet very talented people, and surviving with them needs patience and appreciation over comparison.

The best advice I will give to people who suffer from even the slightest jealousy is to understand that you are going to die one day; that day comes soon or later; it can come before or after your counterparts and enemies. Provided this truth, do you think living in constant self- doubt and comparison or genuine love, acceptance, and moving at your own pace is sensible in the long run? Think for yourself. In many situations, life encounters a prisoner’s dilemma, and cooperation is always better for the long-term. Being more compassionate in life is quite important for anyone, as it strengthens one’s own inner peace.

That being said, never fall to anyone’s treachery masked as compassion; always stay vigilant about what to believe or whom to help. But never lose your good virtues because you interacted with the wrong person. Never leave your character. Your life is yours to live; never let another person decide for you or let comparison decide what your next goal is; never let fear or negative emotions thwart you from achieving what you dream of. Always remember that no matter how much I stress, I will die one day, and nothing I make in this life will help me decide when I’ll die or how I’ll die. Purest love is the only tool that gives peace and happiness without harming oneself.
