PUDEMO Continues to Play ‘Puppy Games’ (emadlwane)

As IB delivers petition to ICC.

MBABANE — The People’s United Democratic Movement (PUDEMO) is still playing children’s games, according to one of it’s founding members who was suspended from the party — Bonginkhosi ‘IB’ Dlamini.

Dlamini has been claiming that the PUDEMO leadership, which has largely been reinstated this year, is in office fraudulently. Dlamini, a key scribe of the PUDEMO constitution, is also the leader (convernor) of the United Eswatini Diaspora (UED), which he claims PUDEMO tried to gain control over to sideline him. He said that PUDEMO “badlala emadlwane” (playing childish pretend games). It seems that this is still the case as IB delivered a petition to the International Criminal Court (ICC) to hold King Mswati III accountable for alleged “crimes against humanity”.

He did this only a few weeks after PUDEMO passed a resolution to do the same, as if to prove some point to PUDEMO about who is most effective in the struggle. The truth of the ICC petition to charge King Mswati III is that it is toothless. If not, it is incumbent upon PUDEMO or IB to prove this.

Interestingly, IB released a video of himself on a train to deliver the papers with charges and evidence against the King of Eswatini. The documents he is carrying are as thick as the bible, which naturally makes one curious — what evidence is contained in all these pages?

Since IB claims that he is delivering the charges to the ICC on behalf of Emaswati, does he not have to publicly present the same documents to Emaswati? In all the official and unofficial media channels, there has been no bible of offenses and evidence presented against King Mswati III, so why is the ICC the first to hear of such, not the people of Eswatini?

It seems obvious that once again, PUDEMO and it’s exiled founding member are playing childish games of pretend — especially since the ICC has clear rules about not engaging countries which are not signatories to the organisation, which Eswatini is one.
