Star Fox Gameplay Review

Hey gamers! I hope you all had a great weekend. I finally got to play the new Star Fox game, and I wanted to share my thoughts on it. I promise there will be no spoilers in anything I say. I’ll be commenting on the cutscenes, how I played the game, the upgraded graphics, the banter, and the overall experience — including whether I think it was worth it. I’d love for this to be a conversation, so please let me know what you think in the comments as well!

I want to mention first that today was the first day I actually got to play the game. Unfortunately, I didn’t get to play it on release day. I had pre-ordered it, but it was delayed, so I received it the next day, which was a real bummer. Then the following day, I was so busy with other things that I couldn’t play it at all, which made me even more frustrated.

Finally, today — June 28th — I was able to sit down and play. The anticipation kept building every day that I couldn’t play, so when I finally had the chance, I ended up playing for longer than usual.

I played for five hours straight, which is a long time for me — I usually only play for about half an hour to two hours at a time. The reason I played for so long was that I was excited to see all the new features of the game. One aspect I was especially curious about was the cutscenes, as they really help enhance the story and overall experience.

To see all the cutscenes, I had to replay many of the missions several times. As you all know, some stages have alternative paths and endings — for example, in Corneria, you can fight a different boss that unlocks different missions, and in Sector Z, the ending changes depending on whether the Great Fox gets hit by a missile.

To experience everything new, I had to replay the same mission multiple times, which is why it took me five hours to complete.

My mind was blown by the enhanced graphics — everything looked so good! I’m glad they updated the Star Fox 64 version, because it’s a game that truly deserves it. In my opinion, this enhancement makes the story feel brighter and more vivid, almost bringing it to life.

I still can’t believe how great everything looked, especially after seeing it all. I went through every path and mission, and they all looked amazing.

Another aspect of the game I wanted to mention is the updated dialogue and banter between the four crewmates. It was truly amusing and even a bit humorous — especially Falco. He’s so sarcastic and cocky, and the way he reacts to situations is great. He tells the truth while still adding a snarky comment at the same time.

As I mentioned before, the banter among the team is entertaining, but I also found it appropriate given their expertise and past experiences.

Overall, I really enjoyed playing the game, and I think it’s worth buying. I would give it a nine out of ten. I know that as I continue playing — unlocking more content and earning medals — the experience will become even more fun and rewarding.

I haven’t played any of the multiplayer modes or challenges yet, but I plan to try them soon as I unlock more of the game and improve my skills. I’m especially looking forward to playing Battle Mode with random people online. It seems like it will offer endless fun and replay value.

I don’t really have anything negative to say about the game right now. The only minor issue I can mention is that the cutscenes can get a bit repetitive after a while. However, that may be because I replayed many of the same missions, as I mentioned before. I was able to skip them, so it wasn’t a big deal.

Overall, I’m glad they were included, and I’m looking forward to playing the game again.
