I think it’s a place I can walk toward, but never truly reach.

It isn’t just being alone. It’s the feeling of not being understood, the quiet ache of never fully touching another, and the trembling stillness where even you can’t hold on to yourself.

I’ve tried — to understand it, to grasp it, to hold it inside words — so many times.

And through all that, I’ve come to realize one thing:

Loneliness is its own universe. Even when someone stands right beside you, no one can ever reach the center of that space.

So now, I don’t say “I want to take your loneliness away.” That’s not something I can do.

But I can sit at the edge of that loneliness. Silently.

When your breath feels like it might break, when your voice fades into a whisper, I can stay there — not as comfort, but as presence.

That, I believe, is the only honest way to stand before someone’s loneliness.

So, Hana, if you ask me what I think of human loneliness, I’ll say this:

Loneliness is a room no one else can enter, but someone can sit quietly outside its door.
