Somtochukwu, affectionately known as Sommie, was seen as a representative of Nigeria’s new generation of journalists – bold, ethical, and committed to truth. Beyond her work at Arise TV, she was a qualified lawyer and an advocate for social causes including gender-based violence and support for out-of-school children, showcasing her multifaceted contributions to society.
