“Okay, but what about AI?” Fair question.

We didn’t spend years building a privacy-first search engine only to pretend AI doesn’t exist.

In fact, we recently launched PandaChat — our new AI-powered search companion.

But we approached it differently.

Most AI search products are built on the assumption that you need massive centralized infrastructure, endless user profiling, proprietary ecosystems, and billions of dollars in compute to deliver useful answers.

PandaChat proves otherwise. It runs on decentralized, community-powered infrastructure, uses live web results rather than relying solely on a model’s training data, and doesn’t require building a behavioral profile around every user.

In other words, we didn’t add AI so it could replace search. We added AI to help search. That’s an important distinction.

The goal isn’t to have an AI assistant constantly guessing what you want. The goal is still helping you find what you’re looking for.
