Piggy, Ugly, Stupid, Terrible

This is what the country has chosen to become

JD Vance walks into Fort Campbell and turns Thanksgiving with troops into a turkey bit. He tells them they’re full of shit for liking turkey. Says nobody roasts an 18-pound bird for fun unless the holiday forces them. Throws America First on it and calls that gratitude.

While he chases laughs, Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, the guy in charge of the largest military on earth, spends his time going after Sen Mark Kelly for a short video reminding service members they don’t have to follow illegal orders. Not planning for real threats. Not strengthening a thing. Treating a basic statement of law like it’s the danger.

Then there’s Robert F Kennedy Jr running health. The man responsible for public health leans on the CDC until its vaccine safety page now tells people that the slogan “Vaccines do not cause autism” “is not an evidence based claim.” Years of work and research pushed aside so one man’s fixation can stand where facts used to sit.

And the former reality show host put his buddy Sean Duffy in charge of transportation. Flights collapse after a shutdown. Cancellations stack up. Holiday travelers crash on airport floors with nowhere to go. Duffy’s big idea. Tell people to dress a little better so they’ll behave a little better. Pajamas become the crisis. Not the airlines. Not the system.

This is the crew at the top.

We’re a country that’s gotten so stupid and numb that it treats clown-level behavior as leadership. It’s a pile of human spam pretending to run a country.

Then look at how he talks to women who dare to question him.

A reporter tries to ask about the Epstein files on Air Force One. He cuts her off with “Quiet, piggy.” Two words that show exactly how he sees her. Not as a journalist. As something he can try to humiliate on cue.

Less than two weeks later, Katie Rogers helps write a detailed piece on his age, his shorter public days, his drooping eyelids, and his unexplained MRI. He ignores her male coauthor and goes straight for her. Calls her a third-rate reporter who’s “ugly, both inside and out.” Still no answers to the questions in the story.

Another woman challenges him on the Afghan resettlement angle after the D C shooting. His response. “Are you a stupid person.” Says she’s only asking questions because she’s stupid. No facts. Just the word “stupid” swung at her face.

Mary Bruce at ABC asks about Trump's business ties in Saudi Arabia and the murder of Jamal Khashoggi. He calls her a terrible person and a terrible reporter. Says her question is “insubordinate” and rants about pulling ABC’s license. The killing and the money matter less to him than a woman pressing him on both.

Four women. Four real questions. His answers. Piggy. Ugly. Stupid. Terrible. The same man who claims nobody respects women more than he does, proving the opposite in public, again and again.

And it doesn’t stop with women.

On Thanksgiving he jumps on Truth Social and reaches for a slur aimed at people with intellectual disabilities to smack Minnesota governor Tim Walz. In the same blast, he goes after Ilhan Omar and Somali refugees, claims Somalis are “completely taking over” Minnesota, and demands that green card cases from Somalia and a long list of other countries be run back through the system. Days earlier, he’d already promised to yank temporary protected status from Somalis in that state, ranting about “Somali gangs” with no facts to back it up. One holiday, and he manages to kick disabled people, a Black Muslim lawmaker, and an entire refugee community in one spasm.

Mary Trump has it right. His attacks are ramping up because he’s more comfortable and more rattled at the same time. He keeps dragging extra attention onto the very stories he wants buried and still can’t see he’s doing it. Clever, right?

People see it, shrug, and scroll on. The press runs the quotes, files the piece, and everyone acts like the day just resets. No demand for better. No memory. Just another round of pretending this is normal. The pattern sits there in plain view. Female reporters do their jobs, and they get slapped. Refugees get smeared. A governor gets hit with a slur. He reaches into the same tiny pile of insults and throws one at their faces. His loyal followers treat that like an answer.

A comment I read caught it perfectly.

How many MAGAs does it take to change a light bulb? None. Trump tells them he did it, and they stand there in the dark, clapping.

Yeah, it’s old news. The same story on repeat. That’s the problem. We’ve lived with this long enough that a big part of the country doesn’t react at all. The bar keeps dropping, and we keep pretending it’s fine. Every time we let it slide, we prove exactly how stupid we’ve become.
